New Life

Long time no write. My personal journal's been down for a big move that my mentor and site sponsor/fixer/owner/etc. was making with all the sites connected to hers. I sound like I know what I'm talking about don't I? Hehe ^^"
Well, my roomate has had her baby. It was a boy. He's so cute and sooo tiny! I don't remember mine being that tiny (of course mine was about 1 inch taller and 10 ounces heavier...but still, that's not that much bigger.
The baby's Daddy confuses me and makes me shake my head sometimes though. There are times when the little one just won't stop crying until mom gives him the boob he wants. I've often heard the Daddy holding him during these times and telling him to cut it out or say his name and "you're fine" in a manner that firmly says "Stop crying you're making mountains out of mole hills" It's like he's been dealing to long with the older ones who cry for no reason and all that, that he expects this tone and such to work on a newborn. I want to laugh at him and scowl at him at the same time.
My sister is pregnant now too--about 3 months along. She wants me to get pregnant too. NO thank you!! *Laughs* There's a reason I'm avoiding the baby-making process. Of course, it's not the only reason I am, I just don't have the drive right now (not that you really needed or wanted to know that lol). I think I'll wait a few years before having my second. Let's work out college and getting married to the fiancé first shall we?
But, I'm going to be having another niece/nephew, you would think I'd be used to the news, it is my sister's third child, but I'm still excited over this one. If it's a boy, they're going to name it Alexander *puffs a little* I hope they have a girl, 'cause Alexander is what I really wanted to name my second son. They're largely undecided about girls' names. We had a good laugh yesterday while thumbing through a baby name book--especially over the name "Silent" a middle name suggested was "Now" My sister really wants to name her daughter "Rebecca" but she hates the name Becky (no offense intended to any Beckys out there), and she knows for a fact that a large number of her in laws will insist on calling her Becky NOT Becca and Rebecca is just to long (yes, some have outright told her this). So, Rebecca is pretty much not an option any more. Sarah would have been her second choice, except that her mil had another granddaughter whose mother's name was Sarah. It's been about two years since she's seen that granddaughter and has given up hope of ever seeing her again (Christmas presents went unwrapped until midsummer the year Sarah disappeared with said granddaughter). So, naturally, the name Sarah will bring out some very sad feeling and memories.
Anything's better than Hercules or Starwolf though(which is what the father wanted to name it if it's a boy)...God, my brother-in-law is so retarded *shakes head and says a prayer for good luck to her niece, nephew, and unborn one*
