Either/Or
Jun 6, 2003
Coopted into doing and either/or list by the lists creator, Domynoe. I was also coopted into joining her either/or ring, but first I must create an either/or entry. Okay, okay, I must admit, part of this is voluntary ^_~
Morning or Night? More and more morning, but I still love the night, just have trouble staying up as late as I used to. I think I still love the night more though, just not the late night, and I know I don't like the early morning hehe.
Cats or Dogs? Cats. Definitely cats, sometimes I think I am a cat. Dogs are okay.
Black or White? As a color, I like black more, harder to visibly stain and easier on the eyes. In the hot sun though, white really is more sensible.
TV or Music? Tough choice...unless it's just regular TV, then the choice is definitely music, but if it's things you can watch on the TV (like a movie or DVD), then it's a close running. It's pretty even, trading back and forth depending on how I feel.
Single or Married? Single, but engaged twice, current engagement is still there, although the date has been put on hold for lack of funds.
Men or Women? Men, but I've never experimented so I don't trully know--I think I'd still be hetero though.
Dragons or Unicorns? Hm...Dragons. However, if I were to meet one, I would be more comfortable (and probably feel more magical) around the Unicorn (though I'm sure they can be just as deadly with that sharp horn).
Meat or Veggies? Fruit. Hehe, guess that's really not one of the choices huh? I'd go for both, I like to eat just as many different meats as I do vegetables, and don't really prefer one over the other. But, I'd never be able to go completely veggie, or completely meat either. I don't believe in vegetarianism, because plants have feelings too. Seriously, just because they're more alien to us than animals doesn't mean that we should eat more of them in order to salvage our animal friends. Plants breathe, they move, they hurt too AND they give us the air we breathe as well! We're part of the food chain, we should live with it. On the other hand, some of our current ways of obtaining/processing/whatever our food need more than a little work.
Juice or Soda? It's pop!! Hehe, now that that's finished, I choose pop over juice. I am hopelessly addicted to Mountain Dew. I'm trying to drink more juice and water though, honestly! Most times I will choose water over juice though.
Skirts or Pants? Pants. Jeans preferably. I don't really care for skirts, and I think I look better in jeans than slacks and such. I'm more of a comfort, laid back, t-shirt and jeans kind of gal, though my latest clothing purchase (which aren't often btw) have been jeans and a variety of other shirts besides t-shirts. I think I got tired of wearing them. I still don't go by any styles, just by what I think looks cute.
Clothed or Nude? Clothed, unless I'm feverish, then I'd rather go nude and not touch my skin to anything. My skin is highly irritable when I'm feverish, the slightest brush of fabric feels like sandpaper. I have my moments when I want to be nude though, but they are usually when no one else is around. I'm a very self-concious person.
Shoes or Barefoot. Most times, I would rather be wearing shoes. My feet are very sensitive, and I hate when my bare feet pick up every miniscule thing from the floors and my every step becomes uncomfortable unless I brush my feet off every 10 seconds. However, I love to go barefoot when I'm walking in the grass or on soft (soft, not muddy) earth. As long as the risk of stepping on a rock or other such uncomfortable things is minimal, I love to go barefoot, it gives me a greater sense of connection with the earth.
Half Full or Half Empty? Half full. I have moments when things are half empty, but most of the time I'm a very optimistic person who likes to forget troubles and move on with life. Bad things happen but the sooner you get over them, the sooner things will get better. Unfortunately, my fiancé is the half empty type, which makes it hard for me to forget and move on.
Rock or Classical? Neither. Well, I listen to both, but not nerely as much as I do other varieties of music. And I don't listen to one more than the other. My top choices are Ska, Punk, J-pop/K-pop/C-pop/techno (japanese, korean, chinese pop and techno), musical, and new age. When I want lyricless music, I turn to new age, then instrumental, and then classic.
Social or Loner? I do well at both, but there are times when I absolutely have to be alone, I crave that privacy and self time. So more loner than social, though I'm not lacking in the social area.
Flexible or Rigid? Very flexible. I don't know if I could ever be rigid. There are things I am less flexible on, but everything works in degrees of flexibility for me and not around any rigidness.
Walking or Riding? Depends on where I'm walking. I would much rather walk in the wilderness than ride anywhere, but if the walk is going to be rural scenery, give me a ride please.
Camping or Hotel? Camping. I love roughing it ^_^
Beach or Pool? Pool. Most beaches scare me. Too much pollution and such. If I'm gonna have the crowd, take me to the pool. Though I'd rather be by the side of natural water, exploring and enjoying, than part of the crowd of either the beach or the pool. Part of my loner tendencies I guess?
Summer or Winter? Neither lol. I've often said that I hate being cold more than hot but I'd rather be cold than hot. Makes no sense huh? This is what I mean: If I had to be one or the other, I'd rather be cold because I can always put more clothes on to make me warmer. But, if I'm still cold after all that, then I'd rather be hot. If nothing I do makes a difference in the temperature, than I'd rather be sweating more than freezing. I guess I'd have to say Summer. Really my favourite season is autumn, but winter depresses me, with nature looking dead and gloomy. I feel more sleepy in winter, like I should be shrivelling up until spring blossom time. Summer is full of life and vibrance. Spring has too many tornadoe threats and I have a phobia of tornadic weather, thus the choice of autumn as the favourite season hehe.
Letters or Email? I'd rather receive letters and send email lol.
Computer or Longhand? No preference here, sometimes a computer just stunts the flow of anything I might right, so I'd rather write longhand, but other times, I just can't write the words as fast as I type. So, computer for speed, longhand for deep thought I guess.
Fiction or Non-fiction? I would rather both read and write fiction. I have a hard time getting into non-fiction, though there are some books out there that can capture and hold my attention (that are non-fiction).
Magical/Fantasy or Reality Based? I am a dreamer. Reality always smacks me hard, but it has to do it often to keep up with my moments of magic and fancy.
Eat in or Eat Out? If you would have asked me this question when I was living at home and in high school and below, I would have said eat out (because it was a rare thing). But now that I am sadly depraved of mom's delicious home cooked meals, I know I would rather eat in if it were made by her...to only go back and have a home cooked meal on just about a daily basis...*sigh* no more food from the can or the local grease factory...if only...
I really need to learn how to cook.

Cheated
Jun 2, 2003
Ok, so it's not really a big cheat, but it's an annoying one. I've now lost two entries to hitting submit post without copying the text. Everytime I forget to copy the text, I lose the entry via an error page :/ It happened about two weeks ago, and it happened last night...or the night before, I can't remember. After something like that happens though, I have a hard time rewriting the whole thing, or even a different entry without getting too annoyed to follow through. Perhaps a few more losses will convince me to obey Domy and just write the whole thing in word first and then copy and paste here. I guess I just find it easier on the journal flow to write it directly on greymatter.
I took my roommates' middle son (the one with average rated autism--he's average in the autistic range, not high, but not low either) to see "Finding Nemo" for his birthday, which was today. My son went with us too. Both boys had a blast, even though we sat in the theatre 20 mins before the movie started :/ (I accidently already bought popcorn and pop before asking how long before the start of the movie). The fortunate side to that, was none of us had had lunch yet, so they were pretty much entertained drinking the drinks and eating the popcorn while paying vague attention to the quiet adds and trivia on the movie screen. The birthday boy has turned 6 today, and he's an absolute joy (most times). Finding Nemo was my son's second trip to the theatre, the first trip was to see Harry Potter and the Chamber of Secrets which he paid vague attention to. I found myself fighting with him at least 50% of the time (he was quiet mostly, but constantly trying to get out of my lap and stuff). I believe he fell asleep near the end. He intently watched Finding Nemo though, never took his eyes off of it, not even when offered more drink or popcorn during the movie (he would push it out of his way whenever I offered hehe). Today was a very good day.
I'm feeling sleepily content, my son is sleeping, and I'm listening to some war thing on the History Channel...I think I'm gonna change it.
