Finally

Sorry about taking so long to let anyone reading this know what's going on ^^" I didn't do it on purpose I swear! I've just been reeeeeeeeeeeeally busy at work (the only place I can get online to update my journals at this time).
Anyway, I'm pretty sure it's officially finished between my ex-fiancé and myself. Yes, I am speaking of the fiancé I mention here and there throughout my journal. He's realized this because I have started to see someone new, although we are not physical and probably will not be physical for at least a year from now (which is perfectly fine by me, his decision which just seems to perfectly fit in with the way my hormones and such are behaving anymore). We may never develop that kind of relationship. For now, it is just spiritual and more of a teacher pupil kind of thing anyway. He is teaching me to meditate, showing me the path he's taking toward enlightenment--I'll get into that later when I have time in Chorus (which you can get to from here by clicking on the "words" link and then looking at the left hand side bar and clicking on the link that says "Chorus"). He is an older man (but not too old, just older than me...actually, he's probably twice my age--I'm 23, but he doesn't look it) from India, he calls California his home and thinks I am meant to move back there with him because I would belong there more than I do here (which I agree, I have never really belonged here--although I have friends and love my family, I'll get into that again too when I have more time lol), we shall see if I move to California, but I would at least like to visit his home. He goes back December of next year. And there you have news bulletin (sp?) #1
Now for the news I promised last entry ^_^" My brother now has a lawyer, but no one hired the lawyer for him it's actually kind of weird but in a good way. He was being tried with the alleged murderer who's father had hired a lawyer. That lawyer pushed for separating the trials because he figured they could use my brother to turn state's evidence against his main client which would be detrimental to the person he was actually hired for. So, somehow that got my brother a lawyer, and now they also have separate trials. The alleged murderer's charges have been lowered to manslaughter (from 4 counts of 1st degree murder) and my brother's has been lowered to battery (Yay!). It's still not fair, as my brother never touched the guy (and according to all the witnesses, my brother was the only one who tried to help the victim after he was bleeding everywhere--other than calling 911) but fighting a battery charge is definitely better than fighting 4 counts of 1st degree murder. At any rate, they are attempting to offer my brother plea bargains. He has insisted he will not take any plea unless he is guaranteed to get parole only, he will go to trial if a plea involves serving any more time than he already has. His case is looking a lot more hopeful with this new lawyer, who is keeping him and my mother informed as to what's going on. According to hand-me-down information, my brother can get 4 years for the current charges and I'm not sure if that's what he gets if found guilty, or what they're currently offering him in the plea bargain. At any rate, I definitely know that the charges have been lowered to some kind of battery, and I'm fairly certain it is just battery.
Things are looking up.
