Moving
Jun 24, 2004
Well, not me, at least not yet. Domy is moving and won't be online for another...well for awhile as she moves halfway across the country from where she is now (which is a lot closer to me than she was before but still not within easy visiting distance--maybe if I go to see the Olympics someday...). She says she'll be gone a month at most and hopes to be gone only a week o.O I just found this out. Only a week offline to move halfway across the country. So, I guess that's better news. And here I was hoping to have all of the rest of AC v3 critted for her and waiting in her forum by the time she got back. Can't do all that in just a week lol. Meanwhile, I've picked up some extra duties at DII that I may be keeping until Fall semester starts if not beyond then. I get to send all of the you need to crit someone or you get the boot meany letters hehe. Before I really just kept an eye on crit length, said yay or nay to DII Flash submissions, and updated the Less Than 3 Crits list among a few minor occassional duties. Since I look so much at the Crits and crit forums to do the list and to make sure people are fulfilling the crit length and content requirements, it seemed a natural thing for me to offer to make sure people were fulfilling the crit requirements on a monthly basis while I was at it, and further, I might as well send them the letters too and keep the participation tracking list updated. I will also handle on the forum removals (I can't do the home website because I don't know the kind of code it works with or something like that) and the elist removals. I'd like to keep it up, it makes me feel good to be useful to DII.
As for my not moving yet I think I mentioned that before and it seems pretty certain my mom is just going to move now (or rather in August) whether my brother is out or not and so hopefully I can get a place with my cousin Nicki (are you reading this Nicki? lol), I'm going to call her apt. complex in a moment to see if they allow tenants to upgrade to bigger apartments before their lease is up--I don't see why they wouldn't, not only are you still handing them money, but then you'll be handing them more money. I did talk this over with Nicki and she seemed like she wanted to do it--for those of you who aren't Nicki and are reading this and are thinking I am very rude for just calling Nicki's landlord(s) behind her back. I think I could see this as working, I would have to spend more money on now bills and less on past due at collection agency bills, but I can survive quite well, assuming my sister doesn't listen to her husband's scatter-brained ideas and decides to move to Champaign, then I will lose my babysitter and will be in trouble. My sister doesn't sound like she's about to follow this new idea though, she insists they have way too little money to be moving anywhere but perhaps elsewhere in the same town. Another downside is my lack of a car. I need to call the bus station and have them sort out their hairbrained bus schedule so I can understand what I need to do to get where I need to go and all that. My sister did say she would pick Michael up for me though to babysit him and since she lives near the college, I should be okay for a ride to school, I just hope this bus schedule allows me to make it to work on time and still make 20 hours a week (I'm not allowed to work anymore than that due to being a student worker).
Well, off to call the apt. complex. I hope my Aunt Debbie was right and Nicki has today off, I need to talk to her some more.
