As a rule, Ash usually deals with whatever is left behind after a forest fire, turning pieces of burnt wood and ashes into new soil. But since fires are rare, he also works with dried out things, and, on occasion, dead stuff.

 The School of I Suck
August 13 ,2007

Yeah, one of those kind of days. Mostly in writing, I've been working on a fanfic cross-over story. Rikku meets World of Warcraft. It's harder writing out stories I've roleplayed than I thought and every finished scene I write out lately seems to suck horribly. At least I'm still writing right? *sigh* Much of my creativity has been going into the spontaneous stuff on the world of warcraft podcast that I cohost with my friend Greg (aka Hallus). It's called WOWCodex. You can download it from the site, listen to it from your pod thingies, etc. You can also visit our new forums linked in the middle of the right sidebar.

I'll keep writing, and hopefully I'll get better. Right now, I suck. Most of what I've been writing can be found here. There are other people's stuff up there too, the stuff that sucks is mine ^,^"

In all honesty my son's current behaviour is taking a chunk out of the quality of writing I'm turning out, but that's a monster for Intimacy to approach.

The Reasons Why I Suck

1. Too distracted by life to pay full attention to what I'm writing.

2. Too harried to take care with editing my words, adding to them, challenging my writing to be better each time on the first write.

3. I haven't been practicing enough

4. I have little to no self-confidence in my life right now, and new areas of my confidence are getting hit recently. Which, as you can imagine, is oh so helpful.

5. I think therefore I am.

6. I'm holding myself back because if I do happen to write something I really like, and someone else thinks it sucks, I just might never write anything good again (that one probably makes little sense to anyone else).

7. I need a break =_= a real break with a nice clean and quiet house to myself. A few hours at least to unclutter my mind.

8. I need to focus more on what I'm writing, while I'm writing it.

9. Writing with insistent "mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy mommy" interruptions until I finally answer is very VERY hard on flow.

10. I have to keep my computer in the busiest, nosiest room in the house.

11. I just plain suck.
